FOIA Document Request

Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)

Public records are open to inspection and photocopying during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (except holidays).

You may submit a request for documents to the City of Fayetteville's Mayor's Office by calling 479-575-8330 and asking for the Communications Director for submission of a FOIA request.

When you make your request for documents, please provide an email or phone number (both if available) so that we may contact you to best assist in obtaining the public documents you want and provide them to you as soon as possible. While it is not necessary to complete a FOIA Request Form with the City of Fayetteville to acquire public documents, we provide one for your convenience.

The State Attorney General's Office, along with the Arkansas Press Association, has generated a handbook on the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act that is a helpful guide to the Arkansas FOIA. You may contact the Arkansas Attorney General's Office at the FOIA hotline, 800-482-8982, to request a copy of the handbook or with FOIA questions. View information, opinions and the FOIA handbook from the Attorney General's website. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it, which is also available at the website.
